The much awaited FITNESS TEST,
Never joined a CTC trek because you doubtful whether you ll keep up with the group ?

Every two weeks on Wednesday morning we are organizing a fitness

You will be climbing up a gentle slope with a backpack from base to 142m high peak.
Our organizers will be noting your time and give you an idea where you stand and which CTC treks are suitable for you.
The test will start at 6:00 am and gets completed by 7:00am

Runner just ruled the 142 m Panchapandava hills today along with their father, climbed in 6 and 7 min respectively. What are you guys waiting for, these kids are just full of energy and proper climbing techniques

Krithick (10 yrs) who completed fitness test in just 7 mins took the entire crowd by shock when he successfully managed to completed the 2 days moderate level Nagala Trek without twitch. Cheer-full throughout always lending a helpful hand and making the group laugh with his anecdotes. And ardent swimmer who had come to one trek earlier knew the route even better then some of the other trekkers.
No crips, no support & took his own decision on how to handle the trail, with this it definitely goes to prove that age is indeed just a number

Bring along a backpack with 10kg weight (add books, water bottles, rocks, …), 7kg for ladies
Note: Don’t add dumb-bells
Also do proper stretching and warm-up exercises. If you come early, it will be done in the ground.
Proper sports or hiking shoes with a good grip sole (loose gravel)
We will be hiking up along the Northern face of the hill
No trail, just a rocky slope, loose grind, bushes, few steeper rock climbs
Participants will start one by one (15 secs separate) and climb up to the peak
Timings to reach the peak generally vary between 5 minutes to 15+ minutes depending on the fitness level of participants:

+ minutes to scale the peak should engage in regular physical activity (e.g. trice a week, 30-60min each) – any sport will do:
- Trekking – join for any of our ongoing easy weekday morning treks
- Swimming – join our twice a week open water swimming camp
- Cycling – cycle near your neighborhood or join our frequent cycle rides. Cycles can be rented in many stores in the city
- Running – go for a solo run near your house or join one of the many running groups across the city
- Others – any regular sport activity will get you quickly in shape: play badminton, volleyball, soccer, etc.
