Who Can Join this walk?

Anyone with interest to take photograph and a camera can join this walk. (Camera is a must for joining this walk)


Palaverkaadu Eri is the second largest brackish water lake or lagoon in India, after Chilika Lake. It straddles the border of Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu states with over 96% of it in Andhra Pradesh[1] and 4% in Tamil Nadu situated on the Coromandal Coast in South India. The lake encompasses the Pulicat Lake Bird Sanctuary. The barrier island of Sriharikota separates the lake from the Bay of Bengal and is home to the Satish Dhawan Space Centre.

What is the duration of this photowalk?

We will be assembling at 4:00 a.m. The final itinerary will be shared with the confirmed participants.

What Should we bring?

A Camera (DSLR or Point and shoot)
Wear good walking shoes
Carry a backpack which would fit the 1 litre water bottle and your camera equipments.

How much would it cost for the entire walk?

CTC Fund 100/- plus Breakfast & travel expenses. (500/-)

What else?

Please do not register and drop out at the last minute as you shall hamper the chances of those interested and who could have taken your place instead.

CTC maintains a Blacklist policy against people who drop out at the last minute without informing the organizers. If someone drops out after all the arrangements (food, transport, etc) have been made, s/he would not only be requested to share the cost of trek including food/transport, etc., regardless whether anyone replaces him/her or not but also blacklisted from participating in such events in the future. Information Selection and confirmation of participants is at the sole discretion of CTC. All confirmed and selected participants will be informed separately. Please contact the organizers for any doubts/details/clarification regarding the trek.
