The Chennai Trekking Club (CTC) is a non-profit, volunteer based group which organizes outdoor, sports, environmental conservation and social activities throughout the year on weekends and weekday mornings. Founded in 2008 the group has grown to one of the most active and largest in South India with 40+ thousand members and hundreds of activities throughout the year. All activities are free - expenses are shared equally among participants.
CTC has been featured in 300 news publications. We also organize a number of larger annual events including marathons, triathlons, environmental awareness drives and symposiums to inspire more people into sports, outdoors and a more active and healthy lifestyle. CTC did extensive rescue, relief, cleanup and rehabilitation work in the city during and post the Chennai Floods. Video on 10 years of CTC.
