First of all we thank you for your patience and apologize for the prolonged absence of communication. In the background we have been following up tirelessly with the respective authorities in obtaining permission for the Chennai Triathlon for the past few months. We are excited to announce that we finally received permission to organize the event on the new scheduled date of Dec 16th. We request you to resume your ongoing training efforts and plan logistics for this new date. We and our team of volunteers are looking forward in welcoming you soon.

[June 22nd] Dear participant,
We are aware that you have been training very hard and you have been eagerly looking forward to appear at the start line as we approach towards July 1st.
For the past few months we have been working hard on preparations to make this 18th edition of the Chennai Triathlon a success in line with previous editions and what you have come to except from us. We received overwhelming response this time with triathletes joining from across the entire country (60 cities). A team of 100+ volunteers from CTC were looking forward to support you throughout the event.
For the first time in the 5 year history of our Triathlon, due to a number of unexpected circumstances beyond our control and unfortunate incidents in recent times our efforts to obtain permission from the authorities have been – after many weeks of tireless efforts – futile. Taking into consideration the current situation we believe it’s in the best interest to step down till things gets resolved over the next few months.
With a heavy heart we inform you that the event will be postponed till a future date this year. It has been a very hard decision for us but after elaborate thought we feel it’s in the best interest in the long term to ensure we can continue this wonderful event through the coming years and see more talent from across the country scale up in this wonderful sport.
